PIASA has remained a family-owned-and-operated company with a foundation built on honesty and outstanding service.
Our unwavering commitment to quality allows us to surpass our competitors while building long-term relationships with our clients. The vast majority of our work, 95%, is with repeat customers who return to us because of the quality of our services and commitment to on-time delivery.
PIASA’s two facilities located in Nuevo Leon, Mexico serve the entire globe, specializing in medium-to-large-scale projects and one-stop, concept-to-delivery service. With 8 fully equipped bays, a total area of 13,000 sq. m (140, 000 sq. ft.), and lifting capacity of up to 90 metric tons, we can fabricate, machine, and assemble large, complex, and heavy parts.
In 1961 our founder, Fernando Herrera, started a small fabrication and machining workshop in Mexico City. At that time, the company served only the domestic market.
In 1986 he decided to move northeast to the industrial city of Monterrey, in Nuevo Leon, Mexico, to pursue better growth opportunities.
PIASA’s growth began with the construction of a new facility in late 1986, with one fabrication workshop, one small tool machining shop, and a warehouse. By 2001, two additional bays had been built. At that point, our capabilities extended to new and overseas markets, including oil and gas, power generation, steel mills, material handling and construction equipment, chemicals, and transportation, among others. A second facility was launched in 2005, giving the company an additional 64,505 sq. ft. of manufacturing space. By 2016, PIASA had a total availability of 140,299 sq. ft., thanks to the addition of one more bay, enabling it to offer even more in-house services and capabilities.
In 2013 PIASA purchased a nearby parcel of land so we can keep growing. Today we continue to evolve, promoting sustained growth and innovation.
